The exhibition features two extensive series of works produced in 2014 during two artist residencies: Outset’s Bialik Residency in Tel Aviv and the Da Wang Culture Highland Residency in China. In both, he engaged in a similar practice, centered on the use of old newspapers and magazines to examine local mechanisms of representation and the visual manipulations employed in each country to construct a conception of place. The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive artist book, produced thanks to an endowment received by the artist to this end from the Shifting Foundation, San Francisco.
