Opening 30.05.2015, 20:00

The exhibition features two extensive series of works produced in 2014 during two artist residencies: Outset’s Bialik Residency in Tel Aviv and the Da Wang Culture Highland Residency in China. In both, he engaged in a similar practice, centered on the use of old newspapers and magazines to examine local mechanisms of representation and the visual manipulations employed in each country to construct a conception of place.
Curator: Dr. Aya Lurie

The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive artist book, produced thanks to an endowment received by the artist to this end from the Shifting Foundation, San Francisco.
Artist talk and lecture by Prof. Itzhak Goldberg on Rubin’s exhibition, Monday, June 15, 2015, at 7:30pm
The exhibition is generously supported by Outset.
